Welcome to Glowing Glass Audio.  I will be offering products for vacuum tube hi-fi enthusiasts.

The first entry in the line-up will be wooden bases for amplifiers.  They will be available unassembled, assembled or assembled and finished.  The bases are made from hand-selected hardwoods with your choice of alder, cherry, maple, oak (white oak) or American black walnut.

The standard base is 3 1/2 inches high.  It has a rabbet at the top in which to recess a metal top plate.  The bases also have a slot at the bottom for a bottom safety cover.  The cover is supplied and is masonite pegboard for ventilation.  To aid in providing adequate ventilation the bottom edge of the base is routed to provide an air space allowing cooling airflow from all sides of the base.

The Glowing Glass Audio bases will be available in standard sizes.  Custom sizes can be made for an additional fee.

The next product in the lineup will be metal top plates to fit the amplifier bases.  These top plates are made of 1/8" thick aluminum plate.  They are incredibly strong so they will not sag under the weight of heavy transformers even with no additional bracing.  The top plates will also be available in standard sizes to fit the standard bases.
